Britannia steam locomotive to visit North Yorkshire this February

The has announced that BR Standard Class 7 No. 70000 ‘Britannia' will be visiting them this February (10th – 18th February 2024).

The 11am and 2pm departures will allow passengers to ride behind Britannia on a 36-mile round trip from to .

Alongside the visit of Britannia, the NYMR will also be hosting a range of special activities for children.

Tickets will cost £45 per adult, kids between 0 and 15 will go free, with member rates available and the ability to use your annual pass.

Laura Strangeway, Acting CEO, said, “We're so excited to open a little earlier next year, for these incredible special services featuring the iconic Britannia. This is a fantastic opportunity for enthusiasts but also a great way for families to spend a half term day out together, on board our heritage railway.”
