CCTV images released following assault at Kent railway station

CCTV images have been released by following a serious assault by a large group of young men on a young man at railway station in .

The assault occurred on Saturday, 9 September at about 10 pm when the large group of young men alighted from a train at Gravesend station and assaulted the victim who was on the platform. Members of the group punched and hit the victim with bottles, some of which were broken.

Friends of the victim's friends tried to intervene to stop the assault, but the group also assaulted them as well.

As a result of the assault the victim suffered swelling on his brain and a number of serious injuries to his face.

British Transport Police detectives are keen to speak to the people in the CCTV images as they believe the may have information that could help in their investigation into the assault.

If anyone recognises any of the individuals in the images, they are asked to contact British Transport Police by text on 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40 and quoting reference number 805 of 9 September 2023.
