Retford Station assault – image released by police

An image has been issued by the police following an assault at Retford railway station on the 16th of September

Police have released an image following an assault which took place at approximately 8.30pm at Retford railway station on Saturday the 16th of September.

The incident began with a group of four men talking before an argument ensued, which led to one man punching another of the group, who fell onto the train tracks. The same man also went on to punch the other two men.

The assailant left the railway station prior to the police arriving.

The image shows a man that the police would like to speak with as they believe he could hold important information to support the ongoing investigation.
