are advising passengers to plan ahead today with a number of cancellations to services today, 31st July 2023.

Fewer than normal drivers means that fewer services can run on the network, and may also mean that trains are cancelled, delayed or revised.

Disruption is expected throughout today, with ticket acceptance in place with Avanti West Coast, Northern, East Midlands Railway, ScotRail, Transport for Wales and Metrolink via any reasonable route.

Additionally, between York and Newcastle, ticket acceptance is in place with LNER until 12:00 noon.

A spokesperson said ” A shortage of train crew means fewer TransPennine Express are able to run across the network. As a result, trains may be cancelled, delayed or revised. This is expected until the end of the day.”
