Thursday, the 6th of July will see rock legends Mötley Crüe & Def Leppard perform at Glasgow Green.
Following the rock spectacular, the TRNSMET Festival gets underway also at Glasgow Green, from Friday the 7th through to Sunday the 9th of July.
ScotRail has revealed that music fans making their way to the events will be able to take advantage of extra services with more seating, some of which have been specifically rescheduled in order to support the event.
ScotRail is also urging those heading to Glasgow Green to check their travel plans ahead, leaving extra time as it is expected that trains in and out of the city will be extremely busy.
Five stations will provide access to Glasgow Green with just a 20-minute walk. These are:
- Bridgeton
- High Street
- Glasgow Central
- Glasgow Queen Street
- Argyle Street – this station closes at 6pm on Sundays
The rail operator is also advising those travelling to purchase their tickets ahead using the mTicket system via the ScotRail app.
mTickets provides an excellent and efficient way to buy tickets securely either at home or whilst making your way to the station.
Once purchased, the tickets are immediately available on the mobile device and cuts out the need to queue once at the station.
Both events will be supported by extra staff at key stations and will be ready to help customers.
ScotRail is also reminding customers that carrying and consuming alcohol is prohibited on its trains and stations.

“We'll be playing our part in helping the festival run smoothly by providing extra seats on trains to and from the Glasgow, as well as extra late-night trains to help people get home. Trains are expected to be really busy, so customers should plan ahead.”
“Make sure to check your train times on the ScotRail website or app, as some trains have been retimed to support the event, leave plenty of time for travel, and make sure you have your return tickets before boarding.”
