Telford Steam Railway holds Multiple Mayhem diesel event this weekend

in will hold its second Multiple Mayhem event on the weekend of Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June.

The event will welcome visitors to ride with various Diesel Multiple Units (DMUs) during the two days.

On the Saturday, services will begin with the first departure from Spring Village at 10am, followed by a packed timetable throughout the day, in which  , Pacers 142004 and 142058, and two-car DMU Nos 51950 and 52062 will all be operating throughout the day.

Saturday tickets cost:

  • £10 adult
  • £8 children
  • £40 family (two adults, three children

On the Sunday, services will begin with the first departure from Spring Village at 11am, followed by a standard timetable, in which only Class 142 Pacer 142058 and 2-car DMU Nos 51950 and 52062 will operate.

The will be the last opportunity for passengers to ride the DMU on the railway in 2023.

Sunday tickets cost:

  • £8 adult
  • £5 children
  • £25 Family (two adults, up to three children).

There are no concessions, discounts or season tickets available on either day.

Day tickets allow unlimited travel on standard gauge trains and entry into the model railway exhibition. Phoenix The Miniature Railway will run, but passengers will have to pay an extra charge for this.

The following facilities will be available on both days:

  • free car park at Spring Village station (TF4 2NF)
  • gift shop
  • second hand bookstall
  • picnic area
  • Furnaces Tearoom offering hot and cold drinks, ice creams, snacks, cakes, and light meals to eat in or take away
