Do Good, Feel Good has been launched by suicide prevention Samaritans in partnership with the rail industry and aims to encourage rail workers to support the charity.

The initiative aims to provide support for Samaritans at a time when the charity's work has never been more important and therefore time limited.

Samaritan's are the only charity which offers 24-hour, year-round with volunteers from all over the UK and the Republic of Ireland who provide one million hours each year, responding to calls for help or for those who just need to chat.

Do Good, Feel Good provides rail workers with a chance to get behind Samaritan's amazing and life-saving work in just ten minutes.

The platform provides rail workers with a chance to sign a petition, plan a walk in memory of a loved one or enjoy a gaming live stream whilst supporting the charity.

Caroline Pearce from the charity said “We know rail workers are passionate about supporting our cause and see first-hand the difference the charity makes, but lack the time to get involved as they juggle their work and personal commitments.”

“Do Good, Feel Good was developed with this in mind, giving people the chance to personalise the support they can provide, based on how much time they can spare – whether that's a few minutes or a few hours.”

Do Good, Feel Good also provides an array of help which rail workers can access, which will support both their own and other people's well-being, including breathing exercises, muscle relaxation and tips on how to be a better listener.
