Train conductor punched on train in Lancashire – CCTV images released

officers are investigating an assault that took place on board a train at railway station near Preston in shortly after 3 pm on Monday, 10th April and have released CCTV images in connection with the incident.

The train conductor was assaulted by a group of young men when he asked them to leave the train as they did not have tickets.

As the group left the train, one of them turned and punched the conductor in the face.

Investigating officers believe that the person in the images may have information that can help their investigation and would like to speak to him.

Anyone who knows the man in the images is asked to contact British Transport Police by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40. In both cases, quote reference number 340 of 10/04/23.

  • Just another bunch of idiots who have been found out, because they decided not to be the same as everyone else and buy a ticket.
    They are the same as idiots on the road who drive a car with no licence, or insurance. Car idiots do get caught by police in the end. Let’s hope the transport police get these idiots.
