More frequent trains on the London’s Docklands Light Railway

From Monday, 15th May, services across the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) will be improved when a new timetable is introduced.

The new timetable will mean more frequent services on all routes, especially at peak times, reduce waiting times and provide better connections with the Elizabeth line at Canary Wharf, Custom House, and Stratford. The peak time will be extended by half an hour on all routes in both the morning and evening peaks.

From the same date a new timetable is being introduced on the Elizabeth line which increases peak time services and reduces journey times.

Additional services are also being introduced, including direct from Stratford to Lewisham during the evening peak for the first time. The frequency of evening services between Canning Town and Beckton will also be doubled, as well as between Stratford and Canary Wharf on Saturday nights.

The main changes include:

• Peak service levels will run half an hour longer on all routes in both morning and evening peaks, with the morning peak service ending at 10:00 and the evening peak service extended to 19:30.
• For the first time, there will be direct Stratford-Lewisham services during the evening peak, with alternate trains from Stratford to Canary Wharf service continuing to/from Lewisham, which will waiting times for customers between Canary Wharf and Lewisham. There will be a service every two to four minutes between Canary Wharf and Lewisham and direct services between Stratford and Lewisham every eight minutes.
• Services between Canning Town and Beckton on Monday to Saturday evenings will be doubled, and the shuttle service between Canning Town and Beckton will continue until 23:30 on weekdays and 22:00 on Saturdays, a five minutes service between Canning Town and Beckton. Sunday service will be unchanged.
• Between Stratford and Canary Wharf on Saturday evenings trains will run every five minutes until 22:00.
