To aid fans attending 's final Guinness match, is running additional services and adding more seats to existing trains over the weekend.

On Saturday 18th March, at BT Murrayfield, the team will sign off their campaign against Italy.

Additional; seats will be added throughout the day on services between Waverley and Fife, Perth, Inverness, and the Borders Railway.

To manage the high number of passengers, services will be added between 10am and 5pm on routes between Edinburgh Waverley and Glasgow Queen Street via Falkirk High.

ScotRail are urging passengers to plan ahead due to the high numbers and allow for extra travel time due to multiple matches taking place.

Those traveling to station may experience longer wait times due to the redevelopments of an adjacent building, which is restricting access and station capacity. Customers will have to use the main entrance and the ramp at the rear of the station will be inaccessible.

Customers are asked to consider traveling straight to Edinburgh Waverley as some may already be redirected there to reduce queues.

Trams and buses are available to travel between the city centre, Edinburgh Waverley and BT Murrayfield.

Phil Campbell, ScotRail Head of Customer Operations, said:
“We're doing all we can to help supporters travel to BT Murrayfield to see Scotland sign off their Six Nations campaign. To help everyone's journey run smoothly, we're adding more seats to trains to and from Edinburgh throughout the day, as well as more services between Edinburgh and Glasgow until early evening. However, customers should plan ahead as services are expected to be much busier than normal with various other sporting events also taking place across the country. We encourage customers to consider travelling home from Edinburgh Waverley station due to the ongoing access and capacity restrictions at Haymarket. This will reduce their need to queue on the day.”
