Hull Business Improvement District Awards recognise Hull Trains

The annual Business Improvement District are focused on highlighting the city's best businesses and this year , Service Delivery Director, Louise Mendham has been awarded ‘Outstanding Employee' of the city.

In October 2022, Louise also won an award at the National Rail Awards for ‘Outstanding Personal Contribution Award (Management)' for her tireless commitment to leadership. In keeping with the theme of winning, Hull Trains was also awarded a national industry award for delivering the most reliable fleet of intercity trains in late 2022.

Lou explained: “Everyone at Hull Trains is looking forward to a positive year so it is great to see that we have the backing of the local business community. 2023 is all about getting back to what we do best, which is providing high-quality, reliable services to the people of Hull and the surrounding communities. This award win is testament to all of the hard work our colleagues have dedicated to keeping people moving during a challenging period.”

Martijn Gilbert, Managing Director of Hull Trains, added: “I'm super proud to have Louise as part of our amazing team leading the operations for Hull Trains. The recognition is well deserved and highlights the work she and the entire team do to keep providing the level of service we at Hull Trains strive for daily.”

The Hull BID Awards is now in its ninth year and the evening saw approximately 300 local businesses represented alongside guests, awards were given out by BBC Radio Humberside presenters Phil and Amanda White.
