April Diesel Gala To Be Hosted By Ecclesbourne Valley Railway and Peak Rail

The and have announced that they will be hosting their first joint diesel gala in April next year.

The event, called ‘Twin Peaks' will run on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th April 2023. It has been named in reference to both railways locations in the and Derbyshire Dales White Peak area.

The event will feature both other the railways fleet of restored diesel locomotives which will run on a special timetable.

Specific fares will be in place which will cover passengers for travel on both railways with the one ticket. There will also be a heritage bus service in operation at regular intervals to aid visitors travel to and from each railway throughout the day.

There will be further information released closer to the time, including timetables and ticket details.

Helen McKortel, Operations Manager for plc who operate the EVR said, “We're so excited to be working closely with our friends at Peak Rail to bring a joint event for the first time. It is just the start of many ways we can work together in the future.”

Mark Sealey, General Manager of Peak Rail added, “This is just the start of our new collaboration with the EVR and a joint diesel gala is a great way of working together to provide an interesting event for enthusiasts.”
