To renew a redundant space at Station, (SWR) and AmeyTPT are inviting charities and local community groups to submit proposals for the space.

South Western Railway are asking for creative ideas for the space and want to hear from local organisations who can benefit from the area.

The space has offices and a meeting room which have been refurbished and would be a great space for local community groups or charities to use as a base for activities.

Those who submit a successful proposal will be offered to use the space for a peppercorn rent, initially until August 2024.

The space at the station is just one of a number of properties at South Western Railway stations which are available to local groups and charities with more details found at: https://www.southwesternrailway.com/other/about-us/community-and-rail-station-adoption/community-use-spaces

Proposals for the stations and additional information can be found by contacting Ian Chalmers via ian.chalmers@amey.co.uk

Paula Aldridge, SWR's Community Rail Manager, said: “We're excited to see what ideas community groups can come up with to best use this amazing space. If your dreams and schemes are being held back by the lack of a base, tell us how you'd use the space and the best proposal will get to move in and start making their dreams for the local community come true.”

Ian Chalmers, Account Manager at AmeyTPT, adds “We're delighted to partner with SWR to offer this unique opportunity for community groups to tell us how they would use the space at Witley station to improve their local community”
