Harringay station will see major improvement work carried out including vital work to reinforce the footbridge which is located inside the station, making it fit for purpose into the future. The bridge is also the home of the old ticket office which will also be relocated in order to comply with building regulations.

Both platforms will see brand new waiting shelters and will allow passengers heading to destinations like , and are able to keep dry in a sheltered location whilst waiting for their train leading to improved passenger experience.

Whilst the work is underway, station will remain open and there will be no effect on train service as the majority of the work will take place through the night. The waiting shelter will be put in place and work on the footbridge completed during the festive period as part of further engineering works, due to this passengers should check their journeys ahead of travelling over and the New Year.

  • I do think that Harringay station does need a massive improvement and to have stairs and possibly to have lifts to make it step-free. Same at Hornsey as well.
