Next Saturday, 26th November, train services operated by TransPennine Express (TPE) across the north of England will be severely disrupted because of strike action by the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Firemen (ASLEF).
TransPennine Express will only be able to operate a very limited number of services, and only on certain routes. Customers intending to travel next weekend should plan ahead, and should only travel if their journey is essential.
A limited service is planned to operate on the following routes:

On the day after the strike action, Sunday, 27 November, a limited train plan will be in operation. Services will start later and finish earlier than normal. Bicycles will not be allowed on TransPennine Express services on either Saturday or Sunday.
Anyone who has purchased tickets for travel on Saturday, 26th or Sunday, 27 November, and is affected by the strike, can have the validity of their tickets extended for travel anytime between Friday, 25th November and Tuesday, 29th November.
Anyone who has purchased tickets for one of the affected days and decides not to travel will be entitled to a full refund.

“Sadly, we will only be able to operate a very limited service on certain routes and are advising customers to travel only if their journey is absolutely essential. The day after the strike will also be affected, and anyone planning journeys should check very carefully.”
