Following a successful 2021 Christmas season, tickets for the Leighton Buzzard Railway's 2022 Christmas season have now gone on general sale.
Priority booking for tickets was reserved for subscribers to the railway's newsletter as a thank you for subscribing, and due to the high level of demand. In the first 24 hours of going on sale, more than 10% of the tickets were booked.
This year's 2022 Christmas season includes Santa's Steam Specials and the popular Mince Pie Specials. The Santa's Steam Specials will run from Saturday, 3rd December until Christmas Eve, whilst the Mince Pie Specials will run after Christmas from Tuesday, 27th to Thursday, 29th December. The railway is also running a twilight experience from Saturday, 17th to Friday, 23rd December departing from Page's Park at 17.30.
Each trip provides a 25-minute return tip from Page's Park to Leedon Loop through suburban scenery. Before departure from Page's Park, mince pies and punch will be served on the train, and after the journey, and after the journeys visitors on Santa's Steam Specials will be invited to visit Santa in his grotto, when all children aged 12 and under will receive a present.
