Steam locomotive 35018 British India Line to haul this weeks Dalesman tour to Carlisle

UPDATE: no longer hauling part of this tour

Class 40 No. 40145 and a 35018 British India will haul this week's ‘Dalesman' railtour on Thursday 8th August 2022.

Departing York behind a WCRC Class 47/37 at 08:25, the train will pass through (08:37), (09:24), Kirkgate (09:31) (09:39), (09:58 – 40145 hauls from here), (10:47), (10:58), (11:14) and (11:31 – steam hauled from here), (12:42), (13:19) and Carlisle at 14:11.

After time in Carlisle, the train, still hauled by the steam locomotive, will depart at 16:27. The train will pass through Appleby (17:16), (17:58), Hellifield (18:34 – diesel hauled from here), Skipton (19:51), Keighley (20:09), Shipley (20:26), Leeds (20:44 – 40145 hauls from here), Wakefield Westgate (21:12), Normanton (21:22), Church Fenton (21:56) and York at 22:24.
