A railway safety sign has been installed by Taylor Wimpey North West who have teamed up with Barrow URC Primary School.
The pupils of the school in Barrow, Lancashire, designed the sign which has been installed on a footpath next to the Clover Meadows development.
Children were asked to design a sign that raised awareness of the railway line and how people should cross the line safely.
The winner of the initiative was Charlie, who is 9 years old. He received a £50 book voucher for winning and saw his design brought to life.
The Clover Meadows development comprises 113 new homes in a range of styles now available to be reserved.
Commenting on the children's participation in the competition, Nicola McArdle, Headteacher at Barrow URC Primary School, said: “The staff and pupils at our school take great pride in being a part of the vibrant local community in Barrow. We were all delighted to be chosen to enter Taylor Wimpey's competition and have the opportunity to raise awareness of railway safety. We have a large number of creative students who worked incredibly hard on their entries and we're very proud of everyone who participated in the competition!”
