The North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR), in partnership with model railway experts Hornby, is offering one lucky railway fan the chance to win a one-of-a-kind prize bundle worth £1,000.
The prize is in celebration of this summer's #LoveYourRailway campaign and heritage railways all over the UK. Britain's leading model railway manufacturer has put together a fantastic prize offering of various locomotives, rolling stock, and accessories including Goathland buildings and structures.
‘Love Your Railway' is being led by the NYMR and is a six-week campaign that runs over the summer holidays from 25th July to 4th September. It aims to encourage people to support their local heritage railway by booking tickets or getting involved on social media.
The campaign is bringing together over 80 organisations from as far afield as Scotland, Snowdonia, Leighton Buzzard, and the Lake District, and aims to shine a spotlight on heritage railway organisations, encouraging visitors to support them this summer.
There are six themed weeks, namely History, Conservation, Partnerships, Family, Volunteers, and Education. Throughout the campaign, heritage railways are encouraging visitors and supporters to get involved and share photos and memories of their visits on social media using #LoveYourRailway.
To stand a chance of winning, entrants must simply share a #LoveYourRailway themed post which is being issued by all participating railways, tagging @officialhornby and three friends that love heritage railways. as well as liking the @officialhornby Facebook page.
