British Transport Police in search of witnesses after man dies on the railway near Monxton

On Monday 15th August, officers were called after reports of a casualty on the tracks near Monxton.

The incident, which occurred around 1am on the 15th August, had both police and paramedics on site who unfortunately pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Although the incident is not being treated as suspicious, detectives are appealing for information on the incident, which they hope will help them identify the man.

Officers want to inform the unidentified mans family of the sad news and have released some information.

The man was wearing blue jeans with a brown belt, a dark blue t-shirt, Clarks shoes which were size 10 and has brown hair which was grey at the roots.
