is planning to reconstruct a bridge that carries the railway over the A631 Road at Bawtry in .

The major project will begin in September, and the bridge's reconstruction will enable trains to continue to run reliably for years to come.

To allow the work to take place safely, a section of the A631 Gainsborough road will need to be closed.

Initially, this will be a single-lane closure with traffic lights controlling traffic flow, but the main part of the work will require a full road closure. Whilst the road is completely closed, diversion routes will be clearly signposted.

As the work will affect Bawtry residents and others who use the road, Network Rail is is holding a public information event on Wednesday, 3rd August.

For anyone who is unable to attend the event, or wishes to find out more about the work, they can call the Network Rail National Helpline on 03457 11 41 41.
