Steam locomotive 70000 Britannia to visit Devon this Saturday

70000 Britannia will be back in action this Saturday (11th June 2022) as it hauls the first English Riviera Express of the summer season.

A diesel will haul the first part of the tour. Departing at 06:10, the tour will pass through (06:15), Parkway (06:29), (06:40), (07:03), Oxford (07:40), Swindon (08:49), (09:16), (09:31), (09:47), (10:29), and at 10:36.

Here 70000 Britannia will be added to the train. Departing Norton Fitzwarren at 10:59, the train will continue on its journey, passing through (11:15), (11:35), (11:52), (12:14) (12:32) and at 13:06.

The return trip will depart Kingswear at 16:35 and will see the train retrace its steps back to Solihull, passing through Paignton (17:21), (17:51), St Davids (18:17), Taunton (19:18 – diesel hauled from here), Westbury (20:03), Melksham (20:22), Chippenham (20:37), Swindon (21:04), Oxford (21:56), Banbury (22:21), Leamington Spa (22:43), (22:53), Dorridge (23:09), Solihull (23:18).
