The new figures show that Eurotunnel Le Shuttle Freight moved over 137,000 trucks across the channel in May 2022, an increase of 22% compared to May 2021
Le Shuttle Freight has also seen a 21% increase in the number of trucks making journeys between January and May when compared to the same period in 2021.
The figures below show positive growth in Shuttle traffic during May 2022 also including cars, motorcycles, vehicles with trailers, caravans, camper vans and coaches.
May 2022 saw Le Shuttle Freight transport 137,313 trucks which is an increase of 22% when compared to May 2021 and since the 1st of January 2022, has seen over 641,000 trucks move across the Channel using the Shuttles.
Le Shuttles figures also reveal that 170,332 passenger vehicles were transported during May 2022 which verifies an upward trend noted over the last few months. 11,381 Passenger vehicles were transported on the 29th of May alone, which set a brand new record for Le Shuttle which was last recorded back in Summer 2020.
As of the 1st of January 2022, approximately 670,000 passenger vehicles have made their way across the Channel on board the Shuttles.
