The Keighley and Worth Valley Railway has released a short update on the overhaul of BR Standard 4 No. 75078.

The boiler has been lifted back onto the locomotives frames at MPD.

The 1015/50 Craven 50 Ton Breakdown Crane was moved from the Shed at Ingrow West to Haworth for the boiler lift.

75078 was then moved into place by resident Class 08 No. 08266.

With the cranes job done, it was lowered and moved away for repainting and 75078 was put back in the shed for its overhaul to continue.

75078 is always a favourite of ours, and you can see it in action on a number of our DVDs, including the Mixed Traffic Gala 2019 and KWVR 50th Anniversary 6 Disc Set.
