The branch of the Campaign for Real Ale – better known as CAMRA, selected the well-loved pub due to its brilliant service and its wide selection of real ales and ciders.

The local CAMRA branch saw voting undertaken by its members who investigated a number of areas such as the array of real ales and ciders available, service, welcome, inclusiveness, comfort and community spirit.

The award-winning pub can be found at East Lancashires Railways Bolton Street Station and has traditionally featured a well-stocked choice of regular special beers and ales alongside selections from local breweries such as the house ale Brightside Odin Blonde, the pub also includes beers from all over the country from Scotland to the Isle of Wight.

Tim Stronach, Supervisor at The Trackside, said:

“After the difficult last few years we've come back stronger than ever, the entire Trackside team especially Thomas Jackson who runs the cellar. I could be here mentioning names all day over who deserves a shout out – the whole team work incredibly hard to deliver an excellent experience for our customers and it's an honour to have played a part in the pub being named Bury area Pub of the Year.”
