The North Yorkshire Moors Railway have revealed experiences for 2022, including photography workshops, Pullman Dining experiences and behind the scenes Engine Shed Tours.
The popular photography workshops will be running on select dates from June to October 2022 and are perfect for the beginner, intermediate or advanced photographer. The workshops take place over one day and are hosted by professional photographer John Potter and provide a chance to capture some incredible scenes.
The workshops are £195 per person and include light refreshments and tickets to travel on the heritage railway. The workshop will include visits to key locations such as Pickering and Goathland Stations with the opportunity to photograph trains, stations, people and the stunning landscapes on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.
The Grosmont Engine Shed Tours will reveal what really happens behind the scenes with a guided tour of the site and locomotive sheds at Grosmont. The tour will also include the Motive Power Department where attendees can see what it really takes to run the NYMR fleet of steam locomotives alongside the restoration of locomotives. The tour will also allow plenty of chance to take photographs of the locos and the work being carried out.
The shed tours run every Friday afternoon from the 8th of April to the 28th of October at 1.30pm and take a minimum of 2 hours. Adult tours cost £15 and Children aged 10 to 15 years cost £7.50.
A fabulous and tasty way to enjoy the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR) is the well-loved Pullman Dining Services which run throughout the year from early in April to the end of October. The tours give guests the chance to sit back and relax onboard one of the stunning historic Pullman Dining Carriages travelling through the North York Moors National Park whilst enjoying a delicious meal.

2022 also sees NYMR introduce a Private Coupe Package that provides guests with a private dining experience in their own compartment which can host up to four people. This special package comes with a complimentary bottle of house wine and a bottle of still or sparkling water.
Alongside these wonderful experiences for 2022, the NYMR will be operating its end-to-end service between Pickering and Whitby which can also accommodate shorter journeys. Full line tickets start from £20.50 for children and £41 for adults or £84 for families.
