Hull Trains reduced timetable was introduced after Christmas, following changes in customer demand as the pandemic affected the country.

The infectiousness of the Omicron variant caused significant uncertainty, leading to a large fall in passenger numbers.

The reduced timetable came just 2 weeks after Hull Trains had introduced its 94th service, which saw them reach their highest service level ever offered.

David Gibson, Managing Director, said:

“We have closely monitored passenger sales and reservations ever since we took the difficult, but necessary, decision to temporarily reduce our timetable on December 27th.

“I am delighted to announce that we are now in a position to bring back all services and can look forward to connecting even more customers across our route just in time for the February half-term school holidays.”
