has announced that their new and improved First Class menu is now available for passengers.

In the morning, passengers travelling first class with the train operator will be able to choose a hot complimentary bacon or sausage ciabatta, or a vegan breakfast burrito.

If you would prefer something cold, then chocolate croissants, yogurts, or breakfast bars will be available.

A full range of snacks will be part of the complimentary offer, including a variety of crisps, cakes, biscuits, juices and chocolate bars

Passengers travelling in the afternoon will have a choice from sandwiches or wraps, including ham hock and chunky egg, New York deli, and chicken and chorizo, as well as vegan options, such as peri peri mezze, avocado and cheese and onion.

The selections will be regularly rotated to provide First Class customers with a choice.

A menu for standard class customers is currently being trialled and further details will be announced closer to the launch.

Neil Grabham, Customer Services Director for East Midlands Railway, said: “We are excited to be able to offer our First Class customers hot food again since its temporary suspension during lockdown. Our menu is full of quality items, having chosen the most popular products that were selected by our user groups.

‘'For any customers who want something warm in the morning to get their day off to a good start, or just fancy a quick snack, our new menu definitely delivers.”
