has released new figures and shows that more than 90% of ScotRail trains arrived on time in the past month.

In the four week period between the 27th June and 24th July, the statistics show that 90.1% of ScotRail trains met their targeted arrival time.

ScotRail measures train times against the Public Performance Measure, which says that trains must arrive within 5 minutes of their scheduled time, having stopped at all of their scheduled station stops.

ScotRail's moving annual average, the average performance of ScotRail trains for the twelve months to the 24th July 2021, is currently at 92.5%.

David Simpson, ScotRail Operations Director, said: “I couldn't be prouder of the way our people have gone about their business throughout this pandemic.

“They have risen to the challenge, time and time again, and these latest figures are testament to their hard work and dedication. It is encouraging that we have managed to maintain a good level of service for customers, despite many challenges across Scotland's Railway in the last period.

“Everyone is working hard to achieve that, and it's important that we don't lose focus and continue to deliver a reliable service that gives people the confidence to travel by rail.”
