Member of rail staff suffers broken nose after attack at London Underground station

Officers from are investigating an incident which took place at station on the .

On Friday 2nd July around 8pm, a man walked into a shop at the station and after placing a number of items in a basket, he left without paying.

A member of staff tried to stop the man who then proceeded  to strike the member of staff in his face with the shopping basket.

As a result of the attack, the member of staff suffered a broken nose.

British Transport Police are hoping that someone recognises the man in the CCTV image and this could help them with their investigation.
