Rocks by Rail, the Living Ironstone Museum based in Cottesmore, Rutland has announced that they are postponing the reopening of the museum until August.

As the easing lockdown restrictions have not included the final step, which has been delayed until July 19th, the decision has been taken to postpone the reopening to keep visitors and volunteers safe.

It will also mean the museum has more time to complete projects which have been delayed due to the pandemic.

A revised programme of events has been drawn up by the museum for the remainder of the season.

Plans include diesel driver for a fiver along with steam open days, along with special displays on digging for victory and the liberation of prisoners of war.

Full details of the events, and the days that these are planned to operate can be found over on the Rocks by Rail website here
