The welcomed participants of a Classic Vehicle Run, fundraising for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, and to remember Heather Dobson, who passed away a decade ago.

Opening its doors for the first time in months on Saturday, May 1st, the Heritage Line got to show visitors around the changes made in the last year, including revamp work with finance provided thanks to the National Lottery Heritage Fund.

The Wensleydale Railway Association Trust Heritage Team were on hand taking people around the behind the scenes areas on the Railway.

In memory of Heather Dobson, her son Andrew and his partner Kay planned the day to also raise funds for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.

A vital service, especially in rural and hard-to-access areas on the ground, Yorkshire Air Ambulance helps saves many lives each year by providing a swift response and transit to nearby hospitals and media centres.

Many rare and classic vehicles attended the run, including:

  1. UK's oldest operational Bedford's
  2. Cliff Allison's, ex-GP driver, 1959 Mk I Jaguar
