Late May Reopening date for Leighton Buzzard Railway

The has announced that their line will welcome passengers from Saturday 22nd of May 2021.

With Monday 17th of May set to see a further easing of COVID-19 restrictions, many heritage railways can open again and accept visitors, with the Leighton Buzzard Railway less than two weeks away from this special day.

The good news for anyone planning or considering to visit is tickets can be booked ahead online now.

Booking online is the recommended way to organise your visit, being safer for both visitors and volunteers.

On top of normal running days, special events have also been organised for the following dates:

  1. Sunday 30th and Monday 31th of May – Teddy Bear's Bank Holiday
  2. Sunday 20th June – Fathers' Day
  3. Sunday 27th June – Vintage Vehicles Rally
  4. Sunday 4th July – Peter Pan's relaunch
  5. Sunday 11th July – Volunteer's Day

More running days and specials will be scheduled closer to the time.

  • The Leighton Buzzard (Light) Railway, are ever so Lucky to Hopefully Reopen Back up and Running this very year… It’ll be Quite A Highlight of the UK Preservation Movement, let alone 2021.
