For passengers travelling between Norwich and Ipswich, Network Rail are advising passengers to check before travelling over the bank holiday weekend.
Over the weekend, Network Rail is carrying out some important work on the track, and work on the line will start at the northern end of the Great Eastern Main Line (GEML).
Additionally, there will be a diversion on the West Anglia line between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt.
On Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th of May, work between Norwich and Ipswich will be carried out, with trains running on Monday 31st May.
Work between Hackney Downs and Cheshunt will be taking place on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st May.
Throughout Saturday 29 May, rail replacement services will run between Norwich and Wymondham, between Norwich and Stowmarket via Diss, and between Norwich and Ipswich via Diss.
On Sunday 30 May, rail replacement services will run between Norwich and Wymondham, between Norwich and Ipswich, between Ely and Bury St Edmunds, Greater Anglia services that would normally serve Seven Sisters (Southbury route) will be diverted via Tottenham Hale (Lea Valley route) all day Sunday 30th May and Bank Holiday Monday 31st May.
Ellie Burrows, Network Rail's route director for Anglia, said: “We're carrying out essential track renewals and maintenance to keep services running safely and reliably across the region. We can't carry out this work while trains are running so rail replacement services will be in place and passengers are advised to check how their journey might be affected before they travel.
“I'd like to thank passengers for their patience while this work takes place.”
Jamie Burles, Greater Anglia Managing Director, said: “This track maintenance work will help to improve punctuality and performance along these key parts of our network.
“We will be running a rail replacement bus service while the work takes place, so customers will be able to complete their journeys. Passengers should check before they travel, allow more time for their journey and wear a face covering when travelling by train or rail replacement bus and at our stations.
“We have several measures in place to keep customers safe including regular cleaning and sanitisation of trains and stations, and high levels of face covering compliance.
“We would like to thank customers for their patience while this work takes place.”

Network Rail should continue with finishing off replacing ageing overhead wires at Stratford and Maryland. And to do the last stretch of the OHL renewals on the Southend Victoria line (Prittlewell-Southend Victoria).
