GB Railfreight has announced that they have signed a new twelve-year contract with Celsa Steel, the largest steel reinforcement manufacturer in the UK.
GBRf will provide remote control locomotives, train crews and ancillary services. Additionally, there will be a dedicated team of crews to operate shunt movements on a permanent basis to make sure services run smoothly.
All internal rail movements will be operated by GBRf, including taking scrap metal for steel production, hot billets for processing, and outbound movements for finished products.
Internal track and wagon maintenance will also be assisted by GB Railfreight.
