(DRS) have unfortunately announced that their 2021 Open Day will be postponed this year.

DRS had hoped to host a 2021 Open Day at Crewe, especially with 2020's Open Day being cancelled due to COVID-19.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is slowly becoming less of a threat with the rollout of vaccines, many social distancing and other safety measures are still in place.

They, therefore, decided to it was best to postpone.

Don't worry as DRS are already planning an Open Day in Summer 2022, with further details to be announced in March 2022 and when COVID-19 restrictions are hopefully reduced further.

The last DRS Open Day took place back on Saturday 20th of July 2019 at Kingmoor depot in Carlisle.

As well as being a great family day out, enthusiasts get the perfect opportunity to take photos and talk to the DRS team about the technical details of each locomotive.
