The has announced its gala plans for 2021, including back to back galas with the nearby .

Whilst the Welsh Government has announced plans for the easing of lockdown, the railway has decided, alongside the Talyllyn Railway, to reschedule the 100th Anniversary Gala plans for Kerr Stuart No. 4 ‘' from 8th – 9th May to 4th and 5th September.

The intention was to start the 2021 season at Easter, with crew refreshers taking place in March after no public trains ran in 2020.

However, with volunteers staying in hotels whilst working at the railway, Corris Railway management felt it was unwise to run at Easter and will now begin in May.

The Gala weekend will form part of the return to Corris for No. 4 ‘Edward Thomas' and is the first time it has headed passenger trains on the Corris Railway since 1930.

No. 4 will work both passenger and freight trains between Corris and Maespoeth Junction alongside Corris' No. 7

Following the gala, No. 4 and No. 7 will then head to the Talyllyn Railway for their gala held between the 11th and 12th September.

September 17th will see No. 4 ‘Edward Thomas' withdrawn from service for a boiler overhaul.
