Steam locomotive Prince set for Statfold Barn Railway visit from the Ffestiniog Railway

The has announced that George England ‘Prince' will be visiting them for their Trangkil 50 Gala.

No.2  ‘Prince' will be visiting the railway from the Ffestiniog & Welsh Highland Railway.

Trangkil 50 will be held on the 12th and 13th June 2021 to celebrate the 50th birthday of locomotive Trangkil.

Prince is one of three George England locomotives in service at the Ffestiniog Railway, the others being Palmerston and Welsh Pony, whilst Princess remains out of service.

George England No 2 ‘Prince' was built in 1863 by George England & Co and has a wheel arrangement of 0-4-0ST+T and is currently coal-fired, but has previously been oil fired.
