Just 6 months have passed since Sentinel ‘Ann' arrived at the , now, the restoration of the locomotive is complete.

The 26th February 2021 saw the whistle fitted to Ann after hours of hard work overhauling components and eventual repaint.

Next, on the 27th February 2021 saw the locomotive make her first movements under steam, a major milestone for the project.

Fast forward a few days, the 4th March 2021. The day of the boiler inspection, a successful steam testing means that Ann now had a boiler ticket!

The inspector saw the working injectors, weir pump, gauge frames and safety valves, and was impressed by what he saw.

Ann has now been used on some shunting duties around Bury Baron Street to allow the owners to be able to get used to the engine. They say that the loco is strong and responsive.
