Avanti West Coast has sent RailAdvent a fleet update on their project to rebrand their Voyager and Pendolino trains into Avanti West Coast colours from their previous Virgin Trains livery.
This week, Voyager 221105 and Pendolino 390008 are in the works for rebranding.
Voyagers and Pendolinos are being rebranded at a rate of one per week.
The current status of the fleet is as follows:
Pendolinos:
390155 and 390156 were the first fully wrapped Pendolino trains as part of the Avanti West Coast launch.
390123 was the first to come through Phase 2 of the livery programme.
Since then, 390049, 117, 047 and 104 have joined the club.
390128 is the latest through the vinyl work, with of course 390119 Progress with its stunning Pride livery being wrapped.
Moving to the Voyager’s, 221101 is in its Hybrid launch livery, with 221101, 110, 109, 112, 114 and 115 joining in new Avanti West Coast livery.
Pendolinos that received vinyl names, approx half of the Pendolino fleet, will get new Avanti styled nameplates, which means that Avanti has an opportunity to look at those sets currently in need of a name.
