Passengers at Eridge railway station in East Sussex will see further improvements at the station have been completed.
As part of a £500k project, the platforms at the station have been refurbished along with the drainage system to help prevent future flooding.
Last year, improvements were made to the footbridge and canopy in a £1.8m upgrade at the station.
The station is on the Uckfield branch of the Oxted line and is served by Southern Trains services. The waiting room at the station is being restored as with help from the Railway Heritage Trust and a grant of £30,000.
The station will be given a heritage feel as it is being painted using the colours of the Spa Valley Railway.
Later this year, Network Rail will be back at Eridge station for accessibility upgrades, as announced last year.
Paul Harwood, regional investment director for Network Rail, said: “We strive to put passengers at the heart of our approach to running the railway, and upgrading the platforms at Eridge station is aimed at giving better journeys to the people who need to travel on this route.”

What about future plans to electrify the Uckfield Line so that Class 377s can operate to Uckfield from London Victoria and London Bridge. And to cascade the Class 171 Turbostar to East Midlands Railway. And Southern to inherit the Class 769 to operate on the Marshlink Line.
