The Railway has released an update on their new build steam locomotive 0-4-2ST Falcon No.10 and upgrades to Corris Station.

No.10 “Falcon”

Following a similar design to No.3, the Falcon will gain a few changes to improve working conditions for crews and give passengers a better experience.

A taller cab with a removable upper rear panel will provide better comfort for crews. With the panel off, passengers will also get a better view into the cab while travelling in Corris coaches with observation ends.

The coal bunker will be located inside the cab.

Alan Keef Ltd is busy building the bottom-end for No.10, while volunteers are currently working on the braking system and smokebox fittings.

Traverser for Corris Station

Unfortunately due to COVID-19, a grant for £8,000 to help fund the traverser project has been reduced down to £2,000.

The railway is therefore seeking donations towards the project, a key part in developing the line for the better.

Donations towards both the “Falcon” and “Corris Station” funds can be made online via www.corris.co.uk.
