Trains begin running to Blaenau Ffestiniog after flooding

UPDATE: Trains are now running normally again after flooding

Flooding has closed the line between and .

The flooding occurred between and Blaenau Ffestiniog at the southern end of the Conwy Valley Line.

It is expected that the line will remain closed until at least 15:00 on Tuesday 15th December 2020.

Train services today (14th December 2020) between Junction and Blaenau Ffestiniog were already suspended due to lack of resource availability.

Replacement buses are running in lieu of cancelled trains.

Trains will be amended tomorrow (15th December 2020) to run between Llandudno and Llanrwst. Buses will replace trains between Llanrwst and Blaenau Ffestiniog.
