Members of the public in the Fife region are being given a chance to share their thoughts on the plans for the Levenmouth Rail link.
Back in September clearance and survey work was untaken to collect more information for the project.
Online information sessions are being organised by Network Rail along with a new Levenmouth project site, scotlandsrailway.com/projects
The site and online sessions reveal more information on the proposals for recreating the link between the mainline network and Leven, which would allow train services to Edinburgh.
The main focus in on the sites of the new railway stations, although all feedback will be welcomed.
Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the information is being shared on the website an also via video call with the project team.
On Wednesday the 9th, Thursday the 10th and Wednesday the 16th of December members of the public can book a 15-minute slot with the team.
For anyone unable to attend the online session, there will be the option to provide feedback online.
Graeme Stewart, Network Rail's sponsor for the Levenmouth project said: “The current restrictions means that we cannot engage with communities like we would in normal times, but we are still keen to share information about the project and get feedback from local people ahead of coming to any decisions.
“Thankfully, technology gives us the opportunity to meet with people online and hear their views and concerns. It offers us the chance to talk about the project and the benefits it will bring to the local area.
“In reinstating the Leven line, we are looking at how we can get best value from this investment and are working with key stakeholders to develop proposals which positively impact on the local economy, communities and future opportunities for the whole area.
“We would encourage anyone who is interested to take part, and I am looking forward to meeting with you online and hearing your views on the proposals.”

Nicola Sturgen would like that idea.
This looks like one of those easier projects to do as the railway line is still present for the majority of the route with no obstacles in it’s way. The only real problem is it to pass the cost benefit, as this project would have costs in the £50 million area.
I think that the Levenmouth Rail link should get given the go ahead. Including electrification and a 2nd platform at Alloa.
