UPDATE: 34046 Braunton has failed at Bridgnorth. The return will be hauled by 34027 to Kidderminster, and 47805 to Crewe
Steam locomotive No.34046 Braunton will be back in steam on the mainline as it heads on a tour to the Severn Valley Railway.
The loco will be passing through Leicester and Burton-on-Trent on Wednesday 7th October 2020. 34046 is heading from Crewe to Kidderminster / Bridgnorth.
Departing Crewe at 06:38, the tour will pass through Madeley (06:49), Stafford (07:07), Lichfield Trent Valley (07:33), Tamworth (07:44), Nuneaton (08:03), Hinckley (08:12), Leicester (08:35), Loughborough (09:18), East Midlands Parkway (09:29), Castle Donington (09:42), Burton-on-Trent (10:03), Tamworth (10:17), Water Orton (10:27), Walsall (10:55), Bescot Up Loop (11:03), Perry Barr North Jn (11:38), Soho North Jn (11:51), Rowley Regis (12:04), Stourbridge Junction (12:15), Blakedown (12:19), Kidderminster (12:23), and Kidderminster SVR at 12:30.
Here, 34046 will head up to Bewdley, where it will be replaced by 34027 Taw Valley (reported), which will take the tour up to Bridgnorth.
After servicing and turning as well as heading to Bridgnorth, 34046 will depart Bridgnorth for the return journey (timings for SVR section unknown). Departing Kidderminster SVR at 17:28 and will pass through Blakedown (17:38), Stourbridge Junction (17:46), Rowley Regis (17:56), Galton Junction (18:15), Perry Barr West Junction (18:28), Walsall (19:19), Water Orton (19:49), Tamworth (19:59), Burton-on-Trent (20:12), Castle Donington (20:39), East Midlands Parkway (21:00), Loughborough (21:13), Leicester (22:06), Hinckley (22:26), Nuneaton (22:34), Tamworth (22:55), Lichfield Trent Valley (23:06), Colwich (23:23), Stafford (23:30), Madeley (23:50) and Crewe at 00:01.
