The has announced that it will be closing its doors temporarily closing from today, 1st October 2020.

Recent Welsh Government announcements have meant that Denbighshire, the county that Llangollen is in, is now under local lockdown from 1st October, meaning no one can come in or out of the county except for certain reasons.

Llangollen Railway, therefore, has sadly no real choice but to close until at least the 14th October 2020 after today's 15:10 train returns to Llangollen.

Passengers with tickets booked will be contacted in due course by the Llangollen Railway, but you can still book tickets for Santa Specials online by clicking here to visit the Llangollen Railway website.

The Llangollen Railway said: “We will constantly review the situation and update you as soon as we can. Stay safe and we look forward to seeing you all soon at Llangollen Railway”

You can donate to the Llangollen Railway COVID-19 appeal on their page here.
