The SRPS Steam Group, based at the Bo'ness and Kinneil Railway, has released a short update on the progress to overhaul BR Standard 4 No. 80105.
BR Standard 4 No. 80105 is owned by the Locomotive Owners Group Scotland.
Work has continued at pace since lockdown was eased in Scotland back in July.
Most of the boiler tubes have been fitted inside the boiler. This can now be expanded and beaded over.
Repairs to the tanks and cab structures are progressing, and much of the bottom end is now complete on the locomotive.
SRPS Steam Group and Locomotive Owners Group Scotland are hoping that 80105 will return to steam in 2021.
