A new driving simulator has been developed by and reproduces the cab of the Alstom Metropolis trains currently running on the Metro 9 & 10 lines.

The system includes the latest virtual reality technologies use by game developers and will help to train the metro staff and automatic line operation technicians.

Realistic scenarios have been created, and the simulator can reproduce real-life situations, with different conditions and obstacles along the virtual route.

Will the simulator staff will be able to reproduce incidents such as breakdowns, signalling issues and even the number of passengers. The training can then help with preventing impacts on the service on the line in the real world.
