The has announced that there has been a change in the rostered locomotive for The Pioneer Service.

The Pioneer Service is set to take place on Friday 18th September 2020.

However, is now no longer available, having developed a serious engine fault, which can not be fixed and is therefore unserviceable at the current time.

This means then that the Severn Valley Railway has substituted the Class 37 for two of their fleet of Class 50 locomotives.

This means that on Friday 18th September 2020, two Class 50s will be in operation on the Severn Valley Railway.

You can book your tickets by clicking here to visit the Severn Valley Railway website.

There is currently no confirmation of which Class 50s will replace the Class 37.
