The has released a small update regarding the change in regulations in Wales.

The Welsh Government regulations regarding coronavirus have been updated. In addition to having to wear face coverings on trains, visitors to the heritage railway will now need to wear a face-covering in their indoor spaces, including their shop, cafe, toilets and the Heritage Centre.

Additionally, in Wales, Social Distancing regulations are still at 2 metres, unlike the 1 metre plus rule in other parts of the UK.

The Lake Railway are now operating a near-normal service to allow visitors to do single and return journeys and to board trains at either Bala or Llanuwchllyn.

Trains are cleaned daily using Zoono, a long-lasting surface sanitiser, with hand sanitiser in place at stations for added protection.

The Bala Lake Railway said: “We thank you for helping to ensure that you, your family and friends, and other passengers, as well as our staff and volunteers, can experience a safe and enjoyable time at the Bala Lake Railway.”
